The Campo Santa Maria Formosa Hotel is set in a neo-Gathic palace overlooking a canal full of floating gondolas. It's close to the main attractions of the city. The hotel has 9 rooms all named after famous Venetian painters. My stay was fantastic.
My Hotels Carpi has facilities and amenities like A/C and a minibar in its rooms. This excellent hotel also has 24 hour room service, elevator, bar, laundry service and facilities for limited mobility visitors. The hotel has a business center and they allow pets.
Rome has two Sheraton hotels, but we stayed at the Sheraton Roma Hotel in the Eur district in the south of the city. The decor of the rooms was not very modern...nothing was lacking, but it seemed like my grandparents' home. The beds are very good though. The hotel food is good and they give you plenty of options at breakfast, but the bar is a little seedy and there's an old singer with a piano. To visit Rome, the subway is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and there are a few buses nearby as well. Another negative point is that they charge 12 euros per day for internet! Keeping in mind that the rooms costs more than 150 euros per night, they should include internet. The hotel has 640 rooms and downstairs there is a small gallery with shops which, while convenient, are rather expensive. Oh, and it has a pool!
This hotel is on one of the streets behind the [poi=74442]Piazza di Spagna[/poi]. If you like to shop, this is the ideal hotel: all the main shopping streets and brand-name stores are nearby. The only fault I can find with this hotel is that there is a bit of noise from the street.
The hotel is wonderfully luxurious and the rooms are the kind that you don't easily forget. I remember coming back from a day exploring Rome, opening up the door to my room and thinking "now THIS is the life!" The service, as you can imagine, is outstanding and what you'd expect from a hotel of this category (and price). It's not ideal for every kind of vacation, but if you have the money and it's a special occasion (I'm thinking honeymoon), then it's the best place in Rome.
Trivia 1: the palace across the street belongs to the Lequio family.
Triva 2 (much more interesting): there is a plaque at the hotel entrance in honor of the Polish Nobel laureate who lived in the hotel. Sienkiewicz, if I remember correctly.
The hotel is situated on a hill close to the village of San Fiesole and offers a superb location amidst the beautiful setting of Florence. It also offers many wonderful views of Florence and the Arno Valley. It is only 8 kilometers away from Florence and its airport. It is housed in an old building, which belongs to the Franciscans. Today it offers all the services of a modern hotel.
I have very good memories of this hotel. I visited years ago and the room and service were both marvelous. It’s practically on top of the [poi=240]Trevi Fountain[/poi] and the Barberini metro station. There are lots of bars, restaurants, and pizza to-go places in the neighborhood. The building is old but renovated and elegant, with high ceilings and luxurious common areas. We got assigned an enormous triple room with basic furniture, but it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom is what really stood out: two sinks, sterling marble, and a large shower. Despite being close to Trevi Fountain, we didn't notice any outside noise. Not all the rooms are as nice nor have the same level of refinement as ours, so I guess we got lucky. The breakfast buffet is standard for a European 3-star hotel.
Amazing hotel very close to Piazza San Marco. It's very luxurious and has fantastic service. They hold parties in the basement nightclub on weekends. On check-out day, we were served a glass of champagne when they saw we were waiting. Excellent breakfast buffet on a terrace with spectacular views. The rooms are very nice and decorated in pure Venetian style.
This is a great hotel, very new, furnished with many modern elements sucha as lights that turn on with movement. The interior design is excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. What I liked was the rooftop pool.
Palermo is the capital of Sicily. It is a city with charm to visit if you go to the south of Italy. Culturally it is not very rich but it has interesting squares, the theater, the cathedral, the botanical garden, its streets and cuisine, etc. If you like soccer you can go to see the Palermo for pretty cheap. I Saw Palermo-Inter for 30€, I was right by the field by the north goal. There are also nice beaches. From there you can go to Agrigento, Etna, etc.
The Teatro Hotel is a cozy, simple hotel where you an stay in an exceptional location in the historic center of La Spezia for a good price. Oh, and free wifi! The hotel is located on quiet street and the rooms are simple but clean. Highly recommended for its no-frills value. Close to shops, restaurants, bars, theaters, etc.
Hotel Mec Paestum, this excellent 5 star hotel is minutes from the beach. It has 53 elegant rooms equipped with the most modern facilities such as AC, satellite flat screen TV and wi-fi. The hotel also has a Restaurant, Solarium, Outdoor Pool and Breakfast in the room.
We found this hotel totally by chance online. It's in a 14th century building that has been completely renovated, including the addition of a large patio. The rooms are spacious and have heating and private baths. It's not too expensive, and the breakfast buffet is included in the room. Note that is near the Campo dei Miracoli, where you'll find the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.
The Hotel Il Borgo is surrounded by a lovely park which makes it perfect for a peaceful family holiday. Among the hotel amenities there is: a restaurant that offers romantic dinners or banquets and a hallway. Also in the park we see a chapel which is ideal for weddings.
The Novotel Milano Malpensa is located right next to the airport, so it's not close to the city centre, and is most convenient if you have to stay temporarily with an early flight. Like all Accor hotels, the rooms are quite large and have been recently redecorated. There's a flat-screen TV, desk and sofa, a kingsize bed and a beautiful bathroom with bath and shower. The hotel runs shuttles to Malpensa airport all day, and in the reception you can view a screen showing departure and arrival times of flights. Some rooms have wifi, which is free, but you have to ask for the code. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant are quite expensive: 15 euros for a plate of hams, 20 euros for a chicken breast with vegetables and 6 euros for a glass of wine, but in the area, you won't find anything better.
This hotel really enchanted me ... it's not that it's particularly beautiful (it looks like a great old hotel, though), but the service is just fantastic: the buffet is varied, and high quality (the orange juice is particularly good, made with Valencia oranges), and when you get to the room after having traveled through the city, you can enjoy a bath with bubbles (yes, the bathtub has a jacuzzi!), and sleep in a comfortable bed ... true luxury! The minibar is free, and replenished every day (no alcoholic beverages), and they also have Pay TV, bathrobe, slippers ... And I was facing the train station, which is ideally located. Well connected by train and metro.
Good value for money, a 10 minute walk to the Piazza del Plebiscito and Via Toledo, the center of Naples. It's in a somewhat dark street that may give you a moment's pause, but in fact, it's a very safe area. The breakfast room is a bit small and uncomfortable and the rooms are a little dark, but overall I recommend the hotel. There are some parking problems in the area. Free wifi in the hotel.
There's so much I could say about this hotel - it really is great, with old-style rooms (it used to be a palace), lovely furniture, and beautiful views ... everything is fantastic, but I loved the breakfast! It's not too extensive, but everything is delicious. With coffees and juices and local pastries, such as ladyfingers and other treats. It's been a couple of years, but I still haven't been able to forget all the details of that gorgeous breakfast.
I stayed at this hotel in May 2012. My first impressions were very good, but it doesn't really seem like a 5-star hotel. It is located near the Fira de Milano, and the metro is practically next door. The neighbourhood is quiet, without many shops or restaurants - just a hypermarket and a McDonalds. The facade is that of a modern or renovated building, so you get quite a surprise when you enter and see a luxurious but old-fashioned interior. We had a triple room (double bed) overlooking an inner courtyard (no noise) - perfect to rest. The beds were very good, and the bathroom was well-equipped, with plenty of amenities. The TV was stuck on a piece of antique furniture along with the minibar (well stocked). It was fairly clean, although on the desk and furniture there was some dust (I think it's a detail they need to work on, especially for customers highly allergic to it). The breakfast buffet is very varied with great ham. I recommend it, but I don't really think of it as 5-star standard.
The Sommità Relais Cottage is located in the historic center of the ´white city´ Ostuni, in the Italian region of Apulia. There are 3 types of luxurious rooms: deluxe double, deluxe double with views and suites. All are fully equipped to meet the needs of its guests. They feature private bathrooms, air conditioning, satellite TV, Internet access, safe, complimentary newspapers and phones. There´s also a restaurant, spa, room service and a meeting room.
With a friendly staff and wonderful rooms, Boscolo Venezia offers a stay fit for a king. It has all the latest amenities and even a private boat that takes you to the Piazza San Marco and Murano. The garden is amazing and it's perfect to sit out and relax after travelling up and down the streets of Venice. The final price is high, but worth it.
The first thing to point out about this hotel is that it has the great advantage of a very central location. It stands on the corner of Via Roma and the Via Teatro Filarmonica, leading to Piazza Bra. It's a three-star hotel with large rooms, a more than satisfying breakfast, and friendly staff. The perfect choice for a stay in Verona.
This small Best Western hotel chain is accessible from the city by foot or the train station. Functional decor, friendly staff and good breakfast are characteristics of this simple but recommended establishment located in a small quiet street in the historic center of Verona. The room had a narrow courtyard and the vibration of the air conditioning machine was somewhat annoying.
This is a great countryside hotel. The rooms are simple, but comfortable and functional. We had a room with a view, and as you can see in the photos, it was stunning. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and are able to create a family atmosphere. The hotel is very quiet and you can get lost in their gardens where you can sunbathe, relax in the shade reading a book, or have a drink on the terrace. In summer the restaurant is closed at night because dinner is served on the barbecue. The continental breakfast buffet is pretty good. The pool and Jacuzzi are great. Private parking is available and free. There is a charge for WiFI and there isn't coverage throughout the hotel. The hotel closes its doors at 12 pm and opens around 5:30 or 6:30. If you need to get in during this time, you have to speak with the staff. It's nice for short stays and ideal if you want to spend a week in the area and get some rest. If you are driving, you should know that is about 4.5 km from San Gimignano. The GPS Coordinates are 43 º 26'55 .15 N, 91 E 11 º 01'24.
The Residenza D'ArteSituado is in the center of Calvi, near major shopping centre, restaurants and the beach and the port. 20 air-conditioned and soundproofed rooms that have flat-screen TV hotel, a private balcony and air lift air conditioning. Wired internet is available in all public areas.
This hotel is located on a quiet street close to the elegant Avenida Corso Buenos Aires, so it's in an excellent spot for accessing tourist sites, shops and restaurants. The nearest metro station is Porta Venezia. It is a good hotel with all the facilities you could want: the rooms are spacious, and so are the bathrooms, the bed linen is soft and good quality. It has cable TV and internet, and the staff are great. It's like a luxury hotel, but with moderate prices - highly recommended.
The Hotel Colombo is located in Naples in Campania in Italy. This hotel is located in the historic center of Naples, offering its clients relaxation, a unique wellbeing and makes your experience unforgettable. There is valet for an additional cost. The staff is very efficient.
