    Places to stay in London

Before traveling to this great city, you should start thinking about where to stay in London. It is important that you consider a few things, such as which attractions interest you and how much you want to spend. The most expensive hotels in London are usually found around the center and have amazing amenities. Some of the best hotels in the world can be found here, although that's not the end of London accommodations. As well as London hotels, you'll also find hostels, B&Bs, and guesthouses ... there's something for everyone, although of course in this hugely popular tourist destination, it can be difficult to find cheap London accommodations.

This is a great city in terms of public transport, so if your London lodging is out of the city center, you'll still be able to get around - by taxi if you can afford it, and otherwise by using the iconic red double-decker buses or the famous underground or "tube", as the subway is called. You'll generally find cheaper lodging in London around the outskirts of the city. But rest assured that no matter when you travel, you're sure to find plenty of places to stay in London.

    grosvenor kensington hotel

    London
Located in South Kensington, just next to the metro, this hotel in a beautiful Victorian building is a splendid alternative place to stay in London. A few minutes by tube from the vast majority of the city's tourist attractions, the rooms, breakfast and service are all spot-on. Strongly recommended, especially considering how hard it is to find a good, affordable hotel in London.

A hotel located close to the subway. The stop Great Portland Street is within walking distance of the hotel and there are also two nearby, and there are bus lines stop just outside the hotel, like Big Bus, which does tours. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with internet, minibar, safe, hairdryer, etc ... The breakfast buffet is great, you can even find churros with chocolate. And language is no problem, since the receptionists in the dining room speak several languages.

Hi everyone! After seeing the location of various Easyhoteles in London, I opted for the one near Victoria Station and I think it was a great choice in terms of neighborhood and ease of transportation. It is 5 minutes walk from Victoria Station and 20-25 from Big Ben. It's a quiet and safe neighborhood (near many embassies) and there are several restaurants and a Sainsburys (grocery store) on a nearby street. My friend and I chose the "standard room with window" for a price of 185 pounds (at that time). The room is adequate if you are going there to sleep and bathe. The bed was as big as I expected and everything seemed clean. The bathroom is a bit tight, but good enough. Regarding the soundproofing of the room, I have to say that we never heard outrageous noise or voices, something which is crucial to get good rest. After the youth hostels, it is of the cheaper options you can find in downtown London and as long as you go prepared, so I recommend it. Clients: Young couples, friends travelling, and backpackers of various nationalities. Other accommodations where I've been: Nh Harrington Hall, Grosvenor Kensington Hotel, Bryanston Court Hotel, Picadilly Backpaper Hostel.

    royal national hotel

    London
It is not the best choice to stay in London in regard to value. The only good thing about this hotel would be its location, but it is not enough to see with different eyes. I spent a couple of nights in late July for work, but that's no reason for the service to not be good. The three stars of London are like they are here in Spain. Everything was very old and the cleanliness of the rooms left a lot to be desired. The rooms were quite simple, with just enough space to sleep and little else. I heard a couple complain that they had bugs in their room. Luckily mine was not invaded. Everything, absolutely everything, that had carpet was dirty. In addition, there was a small amount of food with very little variety (advertised as a continental breakfast). The price is another drawback. Between 80 and 120 pounds, one should pass for the quality they offer. It is located in Bloomsbury, near the British Museum and Regent Park. Very close to the metro station is Russell Square. If you walk a little more, you will be in Soho, Chinatown, Times Square, Piccadilly. As I said, it's the only good thing. And if it was solely to sleep, it would be fine, but the price ... Alongside all this, the hotel is huge and there are thousands and thousands of people everywhere, complaining. And, despite this, the service is very poor and it seems as if they had given up and only have half the staff required. ((Sorry about the quality of the photos, they are mobile because I did not bring a camera, but I think they help a little to see how the place is)) There are other facilities like a swimming pool, gym and bowling alley nearby. They have special prices, which are affordable for customers.

A very nice and cozy four star hotel located 2 minutes from the British Museum in Bloomsbury area and 5 minutes from the Tottenham Court Road tube stop. The rooms are not very big, but they're very clean and neat. For breakfast, you can go downstairs to the restaurant where you just say your name, get a table, and help yourself at the buffet with traditional English breakfasts with sausages, fried egg, bacon, beans, ... .. or whatever you prefer.

    London
This is a hostel located in Piccadilly in downtown London. There is a tube stop a few steps from the hostel and many things to do within a short walk. The photos on the web page have nothing to do with what you are going to find there, but it's still a clean, safe hostel with a great value given its perfect location.

The rooms have TVs, all that you need to make tea and coffee, and internet access included. The decor is normal and has no real charm but has the advantage of being relatively inexpensive. The single rooms are 55 pounds, doubles are 62.50 with a share bathroom and 72.50 for a private bathroom. There are also triple rooms for 75 pounds. In the centre it's hard to find a shared room for less than 22 pounds, but here three friends can share a private room for 25 and won't have to worry about their bags. It's a beautiful house, with a great central location. You can reach many things on foot, and there is also a metro stop near by.

The Haymarket Hotel is one of the coolest and most modern hotels right now in London. It's located just five minutes from the National Gallery in a historic building designed by the legendary architect John Nash, the same man who designed Buckingham Palace. The interiors are groundbreaking and show incredible attention to detail. It has 50 designer rooms and lounges for drinks, plus a gym. An exceptional place to stay in London (if you can afford it).

This 5 star hotel is the highest rated hotel in the prestigious city of London and received very good reviews on the review site "TripAdvisor", so I decided to stay there. It is on the fifth floor of another hotel, but they have a completely separate lift, reception, entrance, etc. It is located in the heart of London, just in front of the stables of Buckingham Palace. An exquisite hotel, accompanied by all kinds of luxuries. Prices are justifiable for what is possibly the most expensive city in the world (about 200 € / night).

The Mad Hatter pub is a Southwark on Stamford Street, it's a nineteenth-century industrial building and a nice place to have a drink after visiting Tower Bridge and the Tate Modern, which are 5 minutes away on foot. The Mad Hatter is part of the Fullers, who turned it into a 30 room hotel with antique décor of the last century. Hyde Park is right in front and it's a great place to take a walk. The building is pretty ugly on the outside but inside the hotel is much nicer. It is a big five-star hotel with 460 rooms. The rooms come with satellite TV, 24-hour room service, and iron. The hotel has a gym, sauna, jacuzzi and a beauty center, two restaurants and a private parking. It is one of the most popular hostels in London because the prices are good and it has what is perhaps the cheapest bar in town. It is a mega hostel with 800 beds with a starting price of 15 pounds (18 €) which includes a buffet breakfast. They make their money mainly from the pub / restaurant, where your can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner a la carte. Hi everyone! I stayed at this hotel for four days at Christmas in 2010, thanks to a good deal on the site Destinia.com. Bed and breakfast. It is 3 minutes from the Gloucester Road and the area offers restaurants and shops. 10 minutes from the Museum of Natural History and Victoria & Albert. The entire hotel is elegantly decorated, reminiscent of Victorian type. The reception has Spanish speakers whom are welcoming. The room, in our case, was very cozy with comfortable beds, two chairs, desk and a bathroom complete with various amenities too. The floor is carpeted, but everything together was spotless. Breakfast was adequate for London. There was a bit of everything, with good presentation. The only thing to improve would be the elevators, small and pretty hot, but it is an old building (not outdated or poorly maintained). Clients: Italian, Spanish, English and German. Families, older couples. Other popular accommodations in London: Brynston Court Hotel, Easyhotel Victoria Station, Grosvenor Kensington Hotel, Picadilly Backpapers (hostel)

    London
When I went in September 2008 to London we stayed 1 night in this hostel that we found on hostelworld.Com. Choosing a hostel in London is a chore because if they are centrally located they are expensive and bad, and those that are further away are too far away. The Astor Kensington is a middle ground, it's a few meters from Gloucester Road metro station and 5 minutes walk from the Kensington museums (Natural History, Victoria & Albert, etc). A hostel is what it is. The rooms are quite nice with the slight problem that it's next to the noisy metro. Moreover this hostel has, what I think is a great advantage, a giant supermarket open 24 hours less than a minutes walk away. For me it was shocking to buy from there at four in the morning - it's not easy to find such a facility in the center. Dealing with people from the hostel is good and there is generally a good vibe. It's not the Ritz but it seems to be a great hostel in central London. Prices are about 15-25 pounds depending on the room.
