Seoraksan National Park
The Seoraksan National Park has one of the most impressive mountain formations in South Korea. The area is full of valleys, granite rocks, waterfalls and rivers which all give the place its special charm. The vegetation and fauna make it unique, you should also note that in 1982 UNESCO named it a District Biosphere Preserve. Also in the park there are numerous Buddhist temples, some even offer the possibility of staying for several days in them, to enable you to experience the life of being a Buddhist monk. The admission fee is 2,000 won. To go to Seoraksan National Park Sokcho. From Sokcho city areas (속초), take city bus No. 7 or 7-1, bound for Seorakdong (설악동) and get off at the last stop (10min interval, Approx. 30min.)
