La Bella Napoli was one of the first restaurants I found in Barcelona. My roommate's friend used to go there when he lived for many years in Barcelona in the 90s. When he left Barcelona he would still meet his friends there and have dinner with them when he was visiting for a few days. Since I joined the group that one time, I got into it.
Before, you would just have to wait on the sidewalk before you could get a seat, now it is very difficult to get a table if you haven't made reservations, since it is always packed, both for lunch and dinner.
The decoration is nice, I like the trompe l'oeil of landscapes and harlequins, with brick walls and black and white pictures; there is a really nice Italian atmosphere. I always share the pasta marinera with my son, it is delicious. And for dessert, an original tiramisu, yummy...
It is a tiny Italian restaurant. The decoration is very authentic, it totally looks as if you were in Italy. On the table there are pots with color pencils to draw on the tablecloth, quite curious! The service might be the best and most professional I have ever seen. An Italian waitress, very nice, knows the menu by heart and how the dishes are made, the same for each one of the wines, I was very impressed...
But, without a doubt, the best part of it is THE QUALITY of the food, the best Italian I have ever been too (including those in Italy), and with a very good value for price. It is a place to have a relaxed dinner, enjoy the evening and quite romantic to go as a couple. You should try it, I recommend it!
...simple and most of all, delicious. A real surprise for us.
After a night full of failed attempts at several restaurants in Barcelona (on Fridays it is almost impossible to have dinner in a good restaurant without reservations), the Specchio Magico came out of nowhere. In a street that looks very quiet, we found it completely by chance. Very good decision.
The price is quite high but if you analyze the dishes, the service and the place, you realize it's worth the price. To me the specialty of the house is the wonderful Burrata de búfala, it will make you happy on a bad night and even more happy on a good one. The pasta dishes are very very generous, absolutely no one will still be hungry afterwards.
Fantastic penne pasta, I haven't tasted better ones in Italy. Moreover, the atmosphere is rather quiet and in spite of being small, you don't have to listen to the others' conversation, since the tranquility is contagious and everyone talks softly. One of my two favorite restaurants in Barcelona. Grade: 9/10.
The other day I discovered this restaurant in Badalona and I loved it. Not only does it have an interesting menu, the decor makes it an ideal place for lunch and dinner for something special. It has interesting corners, a kind of courtyard and even the bathrooms are gorgeous. Every detail has been carefully chosen. Also, the service is exquisite! I loved it!
