In the countryside of the historic battle of Sheriffmuir, is this inn which was built in the eighteenth century. The first thing you notice when entering, is the contrast of its sober and classic exterior with its luxurious and innovative interior. Both appearances are totally contrasting, hoping to find a traditional pub with a fireplace where you can drink beer, we actually found a restaurant with charm and personality. It is also a great hotel, but it can be recommended if you know the area or are looking for something very special, because without your own car is a long way away from anywhere. It has very good and careful attention. Presentations are superb and above all great cuisine (and unknown even by many locals) that mixes the traditional with the innovative. The Cullen Skink is amazing (typical fish soup, potato and cream), the venison with cranberry sauce, and for dessert the Creme Brulee (a kind of thick custard). Another great place for a great evening in the area of Stirling, Dunblane and even Perth. The value for money is very good.
