The Hotel d'Europe is a luxury hotel situated on the Crillon Square in Avignon. You are in the medieval old town, facing the river Rhone. It's an old building typical of this region of Provence, with warm yellow tones, a sundial in the front door and other fine details. The inner courtyard is ideal for a summer breakfast, or snack after the heat of the day has died down. This luxury hotel has been here since 1799, and has been listed in the Michelin Guide since 1900! Obviously it's an expensive place, with the classic rooms starting at 175 euros a night. The most expensive suite, overlooking the Palace of the Popes, is 820 euros.
